            Auxiliary At Work and Play

Vessel Safety Checks were conducted by Flotilla 11-02 at Shutes Branch Boat Ramps on Old Hickory Lake. Personnel placed signs at the two ramp entrances, and set up an examination booth between the two ramps. Literature was handed out, several inquiries were made, and a couple of boats were examined, passed inspection, and awarded decals affixed to their windshields.

The Nashville Boat & Sport Show was an especially lively one this year. Flotilla 11-02 manned the CG Auxiliary booth from 12 noon till 10 pm on Friday. Many inquirys were made by an interested public. Upcoming Boating Class schedules were handed out, as well as lots of literature. Contacts were made with several potential members, including Sea Tow, and Southern Woods & Waters.

The holiday party took place at Holiday Inn in Nashville, early December. Much breakfast was consumed, tall tales and outright lies were swapped. Especially rewarding was the award ceremony.
The fall cookout was similarly conducted, location was Rockland Recreation Area, Old Hickory Lake.
